The July 13 issue of the Washington Blade highlights “The Blue Lagoon: A Musical” in the feature “On the Fringe” by Patrick Folliard. Check it out, and you’ll see a fun photo of Matthew McGloin, who portrays Richard in the show. (Kathleen Mason performs the role of Emmeline.) You know, if I had a dollar for every time there was a 23-year-old posing for a picture in an inflatable pool in my living room…I’d have a dollar.

Who Are You Calling Nancy?
June 9, 2007 · No Comments
There have been many faces of Nancy Drew on-screen through the years: Bonita Granville in the ’30s, Pamela Sue Martin and Janet Louise Johnson in the ’70s, Tracy Ryan in the ’90s, Maggie Lawson earlier in this decade, and now Emma Roberts in the new film “Nancy Drew.” In the June 10 edition of The Washington Post, I look at past portrayals of the sleuthing icon, and see what’s become of the actresses who’ve tackled the role. Read “Playing Nancy Drew: Sleuth and Consequences.”
